Warranty by Surface Type
Different surfaces wear differently. Interior walls in a temperature-controlled home should never fail under normal use, so we cover them for life. Cabinets get heavy daily handling, so we cover them for 5 years. Exterior surfaces battle Toronto's freeze-thaw cycles, UV, and salt — even a perfect job has a working life, so we warranty 3 years.

House facades, decks, fences, doors, siding, brick, stucco, and trim — full coverage against premature peeling, blistering, and product failure.

What the Warranty Covers
- Peeling, flaking, blistering, or bubbling caused by workmanship or product failure
- Poor coverage where two coats were applied as quoted
- Cracking along caulked joints we sealed
- Premature failure of the paint film under normal use and exposure
- Adhesion failure on properly prepped surfaces
What the Warranty Does Not Cover
- Damage from water leaks, plumbing failures, or roof issues that wet the painted surface
- Damage from physical impact, scuffs, scratches, or moving furniture
- Surfaces we recommended against painting and the customer chose to paint anyway
- Stains caused by tenant abuse, smoke, grease, or improper cleaning products
- Normal wear in extreme-traffic areas like garage door bottoms or stair handrails
- Fading on dark colours from direct UV exposure (a paint chemistry limitation, not a workmanship issue)
- Failure caused by structural movement, foundation settlement, or building defects
- Touch-ups requested for cosmetic preference rather than defect
How to Make a Warranty Claim
- Call us at (416) 875-8706 or email homepainterspro.ca@gmail.com with your project address and the issue.
- Send a few photos so we can assess remotely.
- If the claim is valid, we schedule a return visit and fix it at no charge — that includes labour, paint, and any required prep.
- If it falls outside the warranty, we'll tell you why and quote a fair repair if you want one done.
Documentation You Receive
Every Home Painters Pro project ends with:
- A signed written warranty certificate listing the surfaces covered and the duration tier
- The exact paint products used (brand, line, sheen, and colour code) so future touch-ups match
- Before-and-after photos for our records
- Itemized invoice including paint, labour, prep, and warranty terms
Insurance and Licensing
Beyond the workmanship warranty, every project is protected by WSIB coverage on all our painters and $2 million liability insurance. Both certificates are available on request before any project begins. We have been operating continuously in Toronto since 2005 under the same ownership.
